The Boone Lab is a biochemistry reasearch lab at the Donnelly Centre, University of Toronto, Canada. The initial set of identity graphics for the website were done in 2007 and the lab commissioned Sgt Peppers inspired illustrations in 2011.
Charlie Boone requested a "groovy" design. Yes, we do groovy. Oh, and your favourite colour is orange? Hm, I think we can manage...!
The armies of pipettes in the backgrounds of the web pages were inspired by the very large numbers of samples that are handled by the Boone Lab in the course of their research.
The website was designed and produced by RNA Studio.
